Casablanca - Tangier has seemingly become a niche for drug dealers.
Three police officers were arrested on Tuesday in the city’s Beni Makada neighborhood for their alleged involvement in drug trafficking.
In Tangier’s Beni Makada neighborhood, a place gradually becoming notorious for its crimes, police arrested three security officers for their alleged involvement in drug trafficking, according to news website Le360.
Three kilograms of cocaine were found with the arrested suspects, according to the same source.
Beni Makada neighborhood was also the scene of a violent gunfire exchange that had erupted between the police and armed drug dealers earlier in March. Three police officers were reportedly injured during the gunfire exchange.
