The second special annual gathering of the International Symposium of Media and Communication organized by the Laboratory of research in language and communication, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, of Ibn Zohr University, in partnership with the Laboratory "MIGRINTER" from the University of Poitiers in France, will be held Tuesday 23 April 2014 in Agadir, Morocco.
Experts representing 60 countries, from Morocco, France, Turkey, Canada, Jordan, Algeria, Tunisia, Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal and Mauritania, will be exploring the different Changes between media strategies and practical behavior of citizen communication nowadays and the impact of innovation in the transformation of the media sector.
The symposium, falls within the framework of the project Toubkal, a Moroccan-French Partnership.
“During the long three days-meeting, experts and participants, will be thinking and studying the different analyses of the changes related to information technology and communication, commitment of citizens, applications, linguistic usage, and social representations, in the light of what happened since the fall of the Berlin wall that was one event that led to a variety of changes in the world , shedding light on the social transformations experienced by the countries of the Arab region, Europe and the U.S” explained Mr. Abdul Rahman Amssider
“The main purpose of this international meeting came to answer the question about the role of media in informing by its traditional wherewithal such as TV, Radio, Newspapers, and new means of social communication” added Mr. Amsidder.
The attendees of this year aim to highlight on the themes of the use of media, transitions and social and political mobilization via social media, and to study the evolution of technology in promoting the initiatives of socio-economic and cultural rights development, as well as different forms of artistic expression, linguistic mobilization, through theotrical researches and practical workshops.
This year’s edition will also honor one of the well known actors in the field of media.
