Marrakech - In the framework of the American-Moroccan partnership, Morocco will participate in a Reverse Trade Mission (RTM) taking place in Colorado and California fromJune 8-18.
Twelve Moroccan energy experts and decision makers will travel to the US to display their ambitious solar energy plans.
The event will give Moroccan officials an opportunity to present investment proposals to US energy companies.
The RTM is sponsored by the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and organized by The Webster Group, a top Washington, D.C. event planning company. According to the American news outlet PRWeb, the RTM will link Moroccan decision makers with potential financial sponsors from the US in order to plan future solar energy projects in Morocco.
“The expected growth in Morocco’s solar energy infrastructure presents an unprecedented opportunity for US solar technologies and services,” Heather Lanigan, USTDA Country Manager in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, said in the PRWeb report.
In May 2013, the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy (MASEN) started construction of solar power plant near Ouarzazate, and in four other stations, aiming to produce about 2000 megawatts by the year 2020.
