Rabat - Moroccan Minister of Agriculture and Marine Fisheries, Aziz Akhannouch and his Russian counterpart, Nikolai Fyodorov, agreed Tuesday in Moscow to work for the promotion of joint ventures in the area processing of seafood and aquaculture, to better harness the potential of Moroccan exports to Russia.
Welcoming the quality and level of the relations between the two countries in the areas of agriculture and marine fisheries, the two sides stressed, during an interview on the sidelines of Moroccan-Russian the Business Forum, their willingness to develop trade in the fields of citrus, fruits and vegetables, fish products and cereals, said a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Fisheries, carried by Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).
The ministers highlighted the close cooperation between the private sectors of both countries, calling for more coordination for better market management, the statement added.
In September, Akhannouch will attend Moscow’s food fair at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, according to the same source.
