Japan and Morocco to Strengthen bilateral Cooperation

Japan Donates Morocco 170 New Generation Eco-Friendly Vehicles

Tangier - Moroccan and Japanese officials met on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Rabat to work together on the development of several areas of bilateral cooperation. 

The meeting brought together Ambassador Tsuneo Kurokawa of Japan and the Minister of Transportation and Equipment, Aziz Rabbah, to strengthen the partnership between Morocco and Japan in different fields.

According to Maghreb Arab Press, the discussion centered on reinforcing cooperation between Morocco and Japan, as well as identifying new areas of collaboration, a communiqué of the ministry said.

These fields include infrastructure, transportation and logistics.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of encouraging Japanese companies to invest in Morocco, especially in the field of transportation.

The communiqué added that the meeting included a discussion of initiating Morocco-Japan collaboration in the industrial field of naval and rail transportation and reinforcing the Morocco-Africa-Japan relation through diversification of African participant countries.

Concerning the implementation of the projected actions, Moroccan and Japanese officials in charge of different sectors will organize coordination seminars.
