Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) - Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Salaheddine Mezouar, met on Thursday with Honduras’ Minister of foreign affairs Mireya, Aguero De Corrales, to discuss means to reinforce bilateral ties and other issues of common interest.
The Honduran official expressed her country's desire to benefit from Morocco's expertise and experience in renewable energies and agriculture and other economic and trade sectors.
She added that Morocco represents for Latin American countries a gateway to the Arab world and Africa.
On the Sahara issue, she reaffirmed her country's support to the integrity of Morocco's territory.
Mezouar, who applauded Honduras' support for Morocco, expressed gratefulness to this Latin American country for its constant support for Morocco in international meetings and organizations.
The Moroccan official is in the Dominican Republic to represent Morocco in the 43rd summit of the Integration System of Central America (SICA) held this Friday in the eastern city of Punta Cana.
Morocco has been recently awarded the status of observer member in SICA, becoming the first Arab and African country to have such a status in this group
