Fez - The World Health Organization (WHO) declared on Tuesday that the number of Ebola cases has increased to 2,240, with 1,229 ending in death.
The WHO called again for an international health emergency to handle the spread of Ebola in West Africa.
WHO is working with many international organizations such as U.N.'s World Food Program (WFP) to deliver food for people who are still in their houses protecting themselves from infection.
WHO works also with the International Organization for Civil Aviation and International Federation of Air Transport with the hope to control the spread of the disease through a quick examination of all passengers passing from the airports of Ebola quarantine zones in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
The ongoing spread of Ebola in this region has pushed many to scramble towards investing to develop new treatment for the Ebola disease. According to The Hill, the United States has provided 4.1 million dollars to the drug maker BioCryst to produce the BCX4430 drug.
