Rabat - Moroccan security services have arrested the Islamic state jihadist Chaâra Ahmed, along with his son Yassine, according to the Moroccan daily Akhbar Al Youm.
According to the same source, this infamous figure of Moroccan jihadists, was arrested in Turkey in an operation carried out by the Moroccan security services in collaboration with their French and Turkish counterparts. No information concerning the date of his arrest was mentioned.
Chaâra, a native of Tangier, relocated in Syria with his family in 2013. The 46-year old man had first joined the Frente Al-Nosra before he became one of the figures of the Islamic State (EI).
His other son Ousama,13, was known as the youngest Moroccan fighter in the ranks of IE. Ousama returned to Morocco with his mother and sister last July.
