Rabat - Moroccan international defender, Mehdi Benatia, has officially signed for the German giant Bayern Munich, according to the official twitter account of the Bavarian team.
The German club confirmed on its Twitter account that it reached a deal with AS Roma in accordance with which, the 27-year old defender will join Bayern Munich for 5-year contract.
“DONE DEAL: FCBayern and @OfficialASRoma have agreed the transfer of MEHDI BENATIA (27)! Defensive ace set to sign a 5-year contract,” Byaenr Munich said in a tweet earlier today.

According to James Horncastle of BT Sport, Bayern Munich is to pay to pay Roma €26m plus €4m in add-on, and the player will earn a yearly salary of €4 million.

Last year, Beantia played 33 games with A.S Roma and scored 5 times, and was one of Serie A’s best defenders.
