Taroudant, Morocco- The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) on Thursday issued a circular to the schools under its control in Syria in which it ordered the exclusion from the educational curricula a number of subjects, namely music, history and Islamic education, according to the Turkish Anadoulu agency.

The Islamic state also deleted and replaced a number of concepts that are not in line with its approach and ideology.

The same source said that the organization published on its social networking sites a circular issued by the so-called "Board of Education" in the "Islamic state" that read:

“The following school subjects are to be eliminated from the curriculum: (music and art education, civic education, social studies, history, fine arts education, sports, philosophical, social, psychological issues, Islamic Religious Education and Christian Religious Education)”

The Islamic State also called for the replacement of many phrases and ideas in the old curriculum, for example:

Replace the phrase "Syrian Arab Republic" with "Islamic State"; blur all images that do not comply with Islamic law; and delete the Syrian national anthem wherever it is found.

Everything related to Darwin's theory of evolution in science classes or that creation is from natural processes or the Void were also to be replaced by “God the Almighty is the creator of everything.”
