Rabat - An earthquake measuring 3.1-magnitude tremor on the Richter scale occurred on Thursday in the province of Al Hoceima, according to the National Geophysics Institute.
The Institute said in a statement that the quake occurred at about 06.32 a.m. (GMT+1, adding that the epicenter is located in the commune of Moulay Ahmed Cherif.
Since the earthquake is of low magnitude, no casualties or damages were reported.
Last week, three shakes of low magnitude tremor on the Richter scale were recorded in the same region.
