Marakech- Taza, located about 100 km east of Fez, is celebrating the olive during the first edition of the regional Festival of the olive from November 5 through 8.
This festival is organized by the provincial directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fishing in Taza, in partnership with the provincial association of olive producers.
It aims to assess olive products, raise competition within the sector, encourage all relevant agricultural activities to access lucrative markets, and strength local capacity and institutional support for the olive sector.
The festival includes a special exhibition of the mechanisms, equipment, and means of agricultural production of the olive and other agricultural products, in addition to conducting a study on "the development of the sector of the olive and its products."
The study day, which will be conducted by experts and specialists in the agricultural sector, will cover several topics related to the "National Strategy of the sector of olive sector under the framework of the Green Morocco Vision”, "the olive sector in Taza ... achievements and prospects”, "methods of obtaining olive quality while maintaining the environment ", and "the State's financial support of development and production chains and configuration of hydro-farming.”
