CAF Executive Committee Holds Meeting with Moroccan Officials to Decide Fate of CAN 2015

African Football Confederation’s (CAF) executive Committee and Moroccan officials

Rabat - According to Le360 website, a meeting between the members of African Football Confederation’s (CAF) executive Committee and Moroccan officials started on Monday at 11AM at the Ministry of Sports in order to decide a new date for the African Cup of nations, originally scheduled between January 17 and February 8 of next year.

The delegation of the CAF consists of the president of the African football confederation, Issa Hayatou, two vice-presidents, the Secretary General Hicham El Amrani from Morocco, the Communications officer and two members of the executive committee.

The Moroccan side is represented by Sports Minister Mohamed Ouzzine, the Secretary General of the department of Sports Karim Akari, the President of the Moroccan football federation Faouzi Lakjaa and his two vice-presidents, Mohamed Boudrika and Noureddine El Bouchehati.

The CAF executive committee has reportedly granted Issa Hayatou, President of the African Football Confederation, the authority to make a final decision on whether to postpone the tournament or seek new hosts.
