Rabat- According to Moroccan news website Le360 website, the Kenyan Senate President has reportedly asked for Morocco’s help with training of preachers and imams in Kenya.
David Ekwe Ethuro, President of the Kenyan Senate, made the request during talks on Tuesday in Rabat with Rachid Talbi Alami, president of the Moroccan House of Representatives.
The same source added that the Western Sahara issue was the focus of discussions, and that Kenya side showed “understanding” toward the Moroccan position after Mohamed Biadillah, the president of the Moroccan House of Councillors, gave the delegation an overview of the history of the conflict
Ethuro also requested the creation of a flight between Nairobi and Casablanca, and to increase the number of scholarships allocated for Kenyan students in Morocco.
Rabat has promised to respond to these requests.
