Rabat - Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) Director General Anas Alami Houir has been suspended from his duties, according to sources quoted by Le360 news website.
Director of Caisse de Dépot et de la Gestion, Morocco's financial arm, has been suspended from his duties pending the outcome of legal proceedings against him and 22 other defendants following the Badis project scandal in the northern city of El Hoceima.
"Officially, he was not sacked. He was just asked to stay home," a source told le360 website.
No official statement has yet been made by the CDG regarding the issue.
Awaiting the appointment of a new director, Said Laftit, who holds the position of CDG's General Secretary since 2009 became interim Director General.
