Rabat- The 14th edition of Marrakech International Film Festival scheduled to take place between 5 and 13December, 2014 will payi tribute to Japanese cinema.
"For this year's edition the festival will welcome a major delegation of actors, directors and producers, and will also put the spotlight on some of the masters from the history of film making in Japan: from Yasujiro Ozu to Kore-Eda Hirokazu, through Kenji Mizoguchi, Mikio Naruse, Akira Kurosawa, Nagisa Oshima, Shohei Imamura, Takeshi Kitano, Hayao Miyazaki, Shinji Aoyama, Naomi Kawaze, Kyoshi Kurosawa, Mamoru Oshii, Takashi Miike and Masaki Kobayashi," reads a statement.
The upcoming edition of Morocco's prestigious International Film Festival will see the participation of French actress Isabelle Huppert as the president of the feature film jury.
Isabelle Huppert, who was president of the jury of the Festival de Cannes in 2009, will succeed to Serbian director Emir Kusturica in 2011, British filmmaker John Boorman in 2012, and American helmer Martin Scorsese in 2013, who presided over the feature film jury at the Marrakech International Film Festival.
