Rabat- Several celebrity artists from all over the world have come to Rabat to celebrate with the Moroccan royal family, the wedding of the Prince Moulay Rachid and Miss Umm Kulthum Boufares.
According the Saudi website Ilaf, the famous Algerian singer Chab Khalid will be one of the artists to perform at the event.
Cheb Khalid is known to have a close friendly relationship with King Mohammed VI. In an interview with Tel Quel in 2009, Khaled discussed his relationship with the king, saying: “I had the chance to meet the King when he was prince. Then when he became king, he had not turned his back on me. Quite the contrary, he has not changed and it touches me. We kept our friendship, because he is a character of my generation, who [have a young mentality]. He often invites me to his house when I’m in Morocco.”
The king of the Algerian music Rai officially became a Moroccan citizen on August 20th, 2013, on the occasion the 60th anniversary of the revolution of the Moroccan king and his people.
Khaled lived in Morocco for a while before leaving the country last year. During his stay in the kingdom he lived in a villa that was offered to him by King Mohammed VI. The Algerian singer is married to a Moroccan woman.
