Rabat - After it was reported last summer that the crew of blockbuster movie Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be heading to Morocco as the movie's next filming location, a local station named KOAT 7 said that the film producers were reportedly forced to relocate to the desert of New Mexico due to the recent Ebola virus in Africa.
A news report from the Albuquerque-based station said that the movie's director Zack Snyder started to build a construction site in the desert outside Deming, New Mexico to film scenes from the movie, which were originally due to be filmed in the Moroccan desert.
Directed by Zak Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman, the movie is a sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel and it’s scheduled to make its debut in the United States on March 25, 2016.
So far no case of Ebola has been reported in Morocco. Rabat took efficient measures to avert the Ebola virus.
Among these measures, Moroccan health Minister El Hossine Louardi notably mentioned tightening control measures in airports, equipping national laboratories with necessary installations to ensure rapid tests for suspected cases and providing appropriate infrastructures for optimal medical care for potential cases.
