Marrakech, Nov. 21, 2014 - President of the Republic of Guinea, Alpha Condé, expressed, here Friday, his gratitude to King Mohammed VI for Morocco's support and solidarity with his country.
At a time when other countries have closed their borders with Guinea following the outbreak of the Ebola virus, "The Kingdom of Morocco has shown exemplary solidarity, maintaining its air flights and providing valuable support to Guinea", President Alpha Conde said during a panel discussion, part of the 5th Global Entrepreneurship Summit, held in Marrakech on November 19-21 under the theme" Harnessing the power of technology for innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Guinean Head of State stressed the importance of awareness, early diagnosis and follow-up to deal with this epidemic, which has had negative impact on the economy of his country.
The Guinean President also criticized the lack of international solidarity, saying that his country endeavors to contain this scourge by creating several treatment, testing and analysis structures.
However, "We need support and we need to stop the spread of this epidemic," the Guinean president said, adding that his country is determined to come out stronger from this crisis.
