Rabat- According to the ministry in charge of water, Morocco’s main dams reached 10.29 billion cubic meters of water on December 2, 2014, recording an occupancy rate of 65.7%.
Following the heavy rainfalls last week throughout the nation, nine dams reached a 100% occupancy rate.
The affected dams are Mansour Eddahbi in Ouarzazate, Youssef Ben Tachfine in Tiznit, Imi El Kheng in Taroudant and both Aoulouz and Ahl Souss in Chtouka Ait Baha near Agadir among others.
