Rabat- Some Moroccan citizens from Sidi Ifni, who are currently living in the United Arab Emirates took advantage of the King Mohammed VI’s visit to the Galleria Mall in Abu Dhabi by expressing their concerns regarding their tribe, Ait Baamran.

The Facebook page dedicated to king of Morocco’s activities posted a photo of the king and some Moroccans from the Ait Baamran tribe in Sidi Ifni complaining about the isolation and marginalization of their region after the recent floods.

According to the Facebook page, the king was very receptive of the complaints and promised to take steps to improve the lives of the affected populations.

The page added that the king called the Interior Minister after this meeting to ask him to act quickly and to ensure that the victims are receiving aid.

Sidi Ifini, a beautiful small town south of Agadir, was victim of a flash flood last week, which affected most of the southern regions of the kingdom.
