Rabat - Moroccan singer, Asmae Lmnawar, will reportedly sing the Moroccan Anthem at opening ceremony of the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled to take place in Morocco from 10 through 20 December.

The 11th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup will kick off on Wednesday with a match bringing together Morocco's Moghreb Tetouan versus Auckland City from New Zealand.

According to media reports, the opening ceremony of the competition will feature Moroccan singer Asmae Lmnawar who will be singing the Moroccan national anthem, while Ahmed Shawki, another Moroccan singer, will sing the official song of the Moroccan Royal Football Federation produced by Moroccan producer Nader Bel Khayat, known for his stage name as RedOne.

The opening ceremony will last between 15 to 18 minutes and will include a colored lights show and four acts in an attempt to avoid the mistakes of last edition's opening ceremony in Agadir.

Last year's opening ceremony was harshly criticized by Moroccans because of its poor organization and the misrepresentation of Moroccan culture and its diversity.
