Rabat - The Moroccan railways company ONCF announced the closing of Tanger-Ville Train Station starting January 9, 2015. The company will transfer all of its activities to the Tanger-Moghogha station.
According to sources acquainted with the issue quoted by news website Media24, the closing of the Tanger-Ville Train Station will last at least six months and it is to enable the launching of the new TGV station and to introduce sections for TGV rails.
The Tangier-Casablanca High-Speed train TGV was originally scheduled to be finished in 2015, but it was recently postponed to late 2016. Yet, it is now reported that it will not be effective until at least 2017.
