Rabat - The absentee funeral prayer was held in Moroccan mosques following the Friday Prayer for Late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia who died the same day in Riyadh.
King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, had given instructions for the absentee funeral prayer to be observed in Moroccan mosques for the Late King of Saudi Arabia.
Following the prayer, the faithful implored the almighty to admit the deceased King in His spacious paradise among the Prophets, saints and the martyrs.
On the sad occasion of the passing away of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, King Mohammed VI gave instructions to fly the national flag half-mast for three days in all governmental buildings, administrations, public squares, as well in Moroccan embassies and consulates, said a statement of the spokesperson for the Royal Household.
