Rabat - Two Moroccan actors have received death threats following their participation in American Christian movie 'Son of God' which retells the life of Jesus.
The actors, Rafik Boubker and Said Bay, are reported to have received death threats from anonymous over the phone and on social media platforms, describing them as "apostates" after they were featured in the movie 'Son of God' which was filmed in Morocco.
Moroccan actor Rafik Boubker was quoted as saying that his participation in the film 'Son of God' had nothing to do with a change in his beliefs.
He added that he only participated in the Bible-inspired film in order improve his financial situation.
'Son of God' has grossed $59 million in the United States and an additional $8 million in foreign markets.
