Rabat - The African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD) will organize a forum to discuss African diplomacy from February 23 to 27in Rabat.
The forum, organized in collaboration with the Foundation of Building the African Capacities (ACBF), will be held under the theme of “African Diplomacy and Diplomacy in Africa: How can diplomacy accompany the dynamics of integration and strengthen the strategic positioning of Africa?”
The event will propose mechanisms to achieve a better political, economic, and cultural integration in Africa, and will create designed activities that will promote the diverse initiatives towards all forms of African development.
The forum will provide an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and strategies in order to overcome barriers and enhance diplomacy based on tolerance and mutual respect. These exchanges will aim to enhance consolidation of the economic, political, and cultural cooperation amongst African countries.
Officials from African Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Relations and the Ministries in charge of internal and external security will attend the forum.
Several other agencies that are interested in economic and cultural cooperation between African countries will also participate in the event.
These include foundations of diplomatic and strategic studies, embassies, and any other parties interested in the forum’s issues.
The forum will discuss several subjects in regard to the economic stakes and challenges that face African diplomacy. Such subjects will include political borders, major historical labels, and shaping the African ideology in regards to the integration of its countries.
Africa is eager to adapt different work plans between its countries, and to enhance realistic policies that will promote positive practices meant to guarantee African integration. A profound dialogue between the participants in the forum is expected to take place.
