Rabat- Morocco’s flag carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), will launch its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner today at Mohmmed V international airport in Casablanca.
After More than a month since its acquisition, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner Royal Air plane will make its first long flight today from Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
"Royal Air Maroc is thrilled to finally launch our first Dreamliner service between Casablanca and New York; we have been waiting several years to modernize our fleet with this revolutionary aircraft," said Mr. Abdelhamid Khalil, vice president, the Americas at Royal Air Maroc.
"The new 787 allows us to fulfill our hospitality promise to guests with the best aircraft available," he added.
Royal Aiar Maroc is the first Mediterranean airline to acquire such mid-size, wide-body airplane employing state-of-the art civil aviation technology.
This new acquisition, part of a delivery of five B787, brings RAM’s fleet to 53 aircrafts.
The four remaining B787 will be delivered to RAM on the following dates: March 2, 2015, March 3, 2016, April 4, 2016 and April 5, 2017.
