Rabat - The 2nd French-Moroccan Parliamentary Forum will be held from April 15 to 17 in Paris.
Rachid Talbi Alami, President of the House of Representatives, and Sheikh Mohamed Biadillah, President of the House of Councillors will attend the Forum.
The first working session on April 15 will focus on the major themes of the Forum, bringing together the presidents of the four assemblies: Rachid Talbi Alami and Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah of Morocco and Claude Bartolone, President of the French National Assembly, and Gérard Larcher, President of French Senate.
The discussion will be devoted to examining ways of developing Franco-Moroccan cooperation in many areas, as well as on issues related to the fight against terrorism and the security challenges in the Maghreb and the Sahel.
The Moroccan national cause, the Saharan provinces, will also be among the main topics of the Forum.
The forum will be marked by the signing of a bilateral cooperation agreement between legislative bodies of both countries.
Created in 2013 to promote Parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries, the Forum is part of the common will of the French and Moroccan parliaments to strengthen dialogue and consultation on issues of common interest, and the exchange of experiences of MPs in both countries.
