Rabat – Moroccan Aziz Benmalek has been appointed vice President of worldwide Hosting & Cloud Services at American giant Microsoft Corporation.
He will oversee WW Hosting & Cloud Services business for U.S. market, as well as leading strategy and go-to-market (GTM) for the hosting and managed services providers across sales, marketing, technical enablement and business development to drive Microsoft’s cloud vision across platform and applications.
Benmalek is a senior management executive with 24 years worldwide experience in the technology industry and with a deep knowledge of cloud computing, cloud market dynamic, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and hosting.
With over 18 years of experience at Microsoft, Benmalek is skilled at leading multiple business segments from Cloud & Hosting to Enterprise to Small & Medium Business, in mature and emerging markets across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
He holds a Master of Engineering in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from École Centrale Paris, and an MBA from the European School of Management. Prior to joining Microsoft, Benmalek worked several years in IT consulting at AXA France, and led Sales and Marketing with an ISV in Paris.
