Taroudant - In an attempt to fight cheating during the baccalaureate exams, the Ministry of Education says that mobile phones and electronic devices are now strictly prohibited in examination centers.
According to a communiqué by the ministry, specialized committees with electronic equipment will tour high schools and examination centers to inspect and control the students.
In light of new measures to combat cheating during exams, the ministry said that any student caught with a mobile phone or any other electronic device will be immediately excluded and deprived of continuing his exams for a year, until his appearance before a committee, which will then decide on his case.
The ministry added that the possession of any of these electronic devises inside schools and exam centers is considered cheating.
The same source added that the ministry has provided training sessions to sensitize students and raise awareness among Baccalaureate students in order to prevent fraud in examinations.
The regular session of the baccalaureate national exam will be held on June 9-11 for all streams, and the re-sits session is scheduled for July 7-9, 2015.
