Rabat- King Mohammed VI and his wife Princess Lalla Salma were seen on Sunday around 7:00 pm in a Mercedes sport on the “Corniche Ain Diab,” in Casablanca.
The Moroccan sovereign was reportedly stuck in traffic on the coastal road near Sindibad Park, an hour before Iftar, a meal served to break the day of fasting during Ramadan.
According to the Facebook page dedicated to the monarch, when seeing, passersby called out a prolonged “long live the king!.
The same source added that Aziz Jaidi, the senior personal bodyguard of Mohammed VI and head of royal security, had his hands full preventing citizens from rushing towards the King’s the car.
In a photograph published on the king’s Facebook page, Jaidi appears near the door of the royal car, probably to protect him and clear the king’s path.
