Rabat - The Moroccan Center for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship opened the Dare Space, its new coworking space, on June 30 in Rabat.
The new CISE collaborative environment will be open to the public in an attempt to "better respond to the needs of a growing number of entrepreneurs in Morocco," according to the official CISE press-release.
The source says that the area will provide these budding entrepreneurs with a "professional, stimulating, and productive experience."
For those entrepreneurs with less experience, Dare Space will also offer low-cost training, coaching, mentoring and micro-funding, as well as privileged access to experts and professional services at the national and international level.
The area will also serve as event space for participating entrepreneurs and NGOs, thanks to financing on part of the Drosos Foundation.
Some of the innovative events to expect from Dare Space include training in social entrepreneurship and innovation, coding and prototyping workshops, art expositions, and conferences.
"The opening ceremony welcomed over 70 entrepreneurs, civil society actors, representatives from foundations and the press," reports the press-release.
Dare Inc., MCISE’s social startup incubation program, aspires to support social entrepreneurs, dubbed “changemakers.” These are individuals who devote themselves to finding innovative solutions to social issues currently challenging Morocco.
The three-track program will help social entrepreneurs move up in the business, "from the moment they decide to tackle a social issue until they incite systemic change by means of a viable startup," says the source, adding that the projects in mind "will develop a flow of investment-ready projects meeting international standards."
The first Dare Inc. cohort of 22 high-impact startups began in May 2015, and will benefit from 4 months of intensive coaching and training.
