Rabat - According to the “Global Competitiveness 2015” report by the reputable World Economic Forum, Morocco has ranked 1st place in North Africa in the category of Best Infrastructure.
The Forum ran the competitive report amongst 144 countries based on the quality of their infrastructure, accounting for roads, major highways, railways, ports, airports, energy infrastructure, and telecommunications.
The results came in for Morocco classifying 1st in North Africa, 3rd place in all of Africa behind Mauritius and Seychelles; and 6thplace within the Arab countries.
The report also informs that out of the 144 countries considered, the Kingdom of Morocco is in the better half, holding the 55th spot.
Not surprisingly, Hong Kong tops the list for best infrastructure in the world, followed by Singapore in 2nd, United Arab Emirates 3rd, the Netherlands 4th, and Switzerland in 5th place.
It is important to note that Morocco’s infrastructure ranked superior to that of South Africa, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Libya, and Mauritania.
