Paris- France welcomed Wednesday, Morocco's initiative to organize a meeting of the Al-Quds Committee, noting that all initiatives "for peace are welcome."
"We welcome the initiative of Morocco to organize a committee meeting Al-Quds on 17 and 18 January in Marrakech," said the spokesman of the Quai d'Orsay, Romain Nadal during a press briefing, according to MAP."All initiatives to encourage ongoing discussions and support international efforts for peace are welcome," he added.
In an interview with the Asharq Al Awsat daily on Monday,Salah Eddine Mezouar, Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, said that Al Quds committee meeting is "a clear message to the international community so that it shoulders its responsibilities, force Israel to stop its illegal colonization and provoking acts, and make it respond favorably to the new talks dynamic under way."
