Casablanca- Intersport, the world leading company in distributing sports items will open its doors in Morocco next April. According to a Spanish source, the group that signed an agreement with the former Moroccan athlete Hicham El Guerrouj, four-time world champion and two-time Olympics champion, will open its first store of 700 m² in the Moroccan economic capital Casablanca.
This first store is considered Intersport’s starting point in Morocco as the network of other dozen stores is expected to be opened in other cities such as Marrakech, Tangier and Agadir by 2015.
Morocco will therefore become the 43rd country where Intersport holds a license for Brand Development. The group based in Switzerland will make use of its Spanish representation in its expansion in Morocco.
