Casablanca - Abdeslam El Khamlichi, director of Rabat’s Center for the Training of African Neurosurgeons in Rabat, received the 2014 award of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies.
Abdeslam El Khamlichi, a Moroccan researcher in neuroscience and the director of the Center for the Training of African Neurosurgeons in Rabat, was recently awarded the 2014 award of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies.
this prize was awarded to Morocco in recognition of the efforts the kingdom has beenTinvesting to provide necessary facilities for the training of African neurosurgeons in the International Training Centre of Rabat, established in 2002.
The ceremony of awards took place in Hanover (Germany) on January 18 in the presence of 750 members of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies. The ceremony was also attended by many professors and researchers in neuroscience representing various countries worldwide.
El Khamlichi is the head of the neurosurgery department at the Hospital of Specialties in Rabat. He is also a Professor at Mohammed V University and Director of the Center for the Training of African Neurosurgeons.
Pofesso El Khamlichi is also the Founder and President of the Hassan II Foundation for the Prevention and Fight against Diseases of the Nervous System, as well as Director of the National Center for Rehabilitation and Neuroscience at Ibn Sina Hospital in Rabat.
