A taxi driver was arrested Wednesday by police officers in Casablanca while selling drugs to an undercover police officer, according to the Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).
A police source, quoted by MAP, said that the 54-year-old taxi driver wasn’t carrying any passengers other than the undercover cop at that time. The taxi driver was allegedly providing his clients with drugs and alcohol.
The suspect used to contact his clients by phone until he got caught by the police officers as he was selling 500 grams of marijuana to the undercover police officer.
Following the arrest, police officers found one kilogram of marijuana and 60 bottles of alcohol in the dealer’s house.
The same source added that the driver admitted to investigators that he was able to sell drugs for nearly 12 years without attracting the attention of the authorities.
