Rabat- A senior official of the Ministry of Higher Education committed suicide last Thursday afternoon, in Temara, near Rabat, by jumping from the window of his apartment, according to Moroccan news outlet Le 360.
The victim, aged 54, jumped from the window of his apartment located on the 3rd floor. According to initial reports, his wife tried to prevent him from putting an end to his life, but it was to no avail.
The deceased held the position of Head of scholarships department, according to the same sources. He was the father of two daughters aged 11 and 16 years respectively.
