Fez- Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Salaheddine Mezouar said on Thursday in Moscow that King Mohammed VI would visit Russia in the fall.
In a statement to Russia’s radio station The Voice of Russia, the Moroccan top diplomat said that the King’s visit will take place in October. The visit was initially scheduled for last June but was eventually postponed. According to the Moroccan Minister, June’s visit was postponed “to allow the sovereign to tackle the deepening of the strategic partnership between Morocco and Russia, something that was not prepared in June.” Mezouar met on Thursday with his Russian counterpart Sreguei Lavrov to hand him a message from King Mohammed VI to Russian president Vladimir Putin. Morocco is Russia’s top trade partner in Africa and the Arab World.
