Rabat - Authorities in the city of Al Hoceima in northern Morocco released a young man who was held in custody over raising the flag of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) on the roof of his house, Alyaoum24 reported.
The 18-year-old was released the same day he was arrested after police investigations proved there was no connection whatsoever between the young man and the terrorist organization that is wreaking havoc across Syria and Iraq.
Sources quoted by Alyoum24 said that the authorities released the "reckless" person in question who was not aware of the ramifications of his act, especially that he could have been prosecuted under the Terrorism Act.
The family of the young man living in France showed up to the police headquarters and confirmed that their son has nothing to do with Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, the same source added.
Trying to make sure the young man has no links with the barbaric terrorist organization ISIS; the police directed a series of questions in matters of religion such as praying and the pillars of Islam but the young man could not answer any of them.
In addition, police found pornographic videos in his mobile phone.
