Rabat - A British mom of two and once an aspiring rock singer, who is believed to have joined the ranks of ISIS militants in Syria, has vowed via her Twitter account to "behead Christians with a blunt knife," according to media reports.
The woman, who calls herself Umm Hussain al-Britani, has been identified by investigators as Muslim convert Sally Jones, 45, a former member of an all-girl rock band from Chatham in Kent.
According to the Daily mail, the woman in question is believed to have abandoned her two young sons, aged around ten and 14, in order to marry British computer hacker-turned jihadist Junaid Hussain, one of the British suspects in the beheading of US photojournalist James Foley last month.
Her husband, who is 25 years younger than her, fled Britain while on police bail. He was jailed for six months in 2012 for stealing sensitive information from an advisor of Tony Blair and blocking a government anti-terrorist hotline with prank calls.
"You Christians all need beheading with a nice blunt knife and stuck on the railings at Raqqa…Come here I'll do it for you!" she said in a tweet which has been deleted from her Twitter account.
Sally Jones was the lead guitarist in an all-girl rock band called Krunch, which played a series of gigs in Southeast England. A video posted on YouTube of one of her performances shows her singing and playing guitar while wearing a leather mini-skirt.
The video has since been deleted.
"She was a nightmare. Always screaming and shouting and up all hours of the night. Everything about her was extreme. She had problems with debts so one minute she was there, the next she’d scarpered. She started to go through a phase of thinking she was a witch,” one of her neighbors was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
‘She’d post pictures on Facebook of her dressed in a cloak and said things about being able to talk to spirits,” he added.
