Rabat - Barcelona football director Andoni Zubizarreta has admitted that the Catalan club currently discussing new terms with Mounir El Haddadi.
Mounir has a B team contract and a release clause of only 12 million euros, which is affordable to most of Europe's heavyweights who will be thinking of signing the rising star in the future.
Barcelona is reportedly planning to substantially improve El Haddadi's buyout clause by increasing it to around 35 million euros. But according to several media reports, the stumbling block the Blaugrana are facing is that by upgrading Mounir's deal, he would be committed to the first team and won't be allowed to drop down to play for the B team this season.
"We'll be working with his agents to decide on the best way to deal with his progress and contractual matter," said Zubizarreta.
"The first team doors are open both to him and to Sandro Ramirez, but their team for now is the B team," he added.
