Marrakech - During his keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, U.S Vice-President Joe Biden captivated the audience with his eloquence and inspirational speech.
At the rhythm of cheers and applause, the American Vice-President said that Morocco has a special place in the heart of every American.
“What many don’t realize is that Morocco holds a very special place in the heart of Americans,” said Biden.
He recalled that Morocco was the first country to recognize the United States of America back in 1777.
“Morocco is the first nation in the world to recognize the United States of America 237 years ago in December 17, 1777, and I come here to say thank you,” he added, while expressing his happiness to be in a country that is at the “crossroads of Africa, the Arab World and Europe.”
The American Vice-President reiterated his country’s determination to strengthen partnership relations with Morocco, particularly in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation.
The United States stands ready to strengthen partnership with Morocco, Biden said in his remarks at the official opening of the 5th annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (2014 Marrakesh GES).
