Rabat - Zahra Maafiri, Director-General of Maroc Export (Moroccan Centre for Export Promotion) said Morocco is the first Arab and African exporter of agricultural products and textiles to the Russian market.
On the occasion of a visit of a Moroccan business delegation to Russia from April 13 to 18, Maafiri said that Morocco has to maintain its leadership and diversify its exports to the Russian market.
The Moroccan delegation visited the cities of Saint-Petersburg, Kazan and Moscow and held several Business to Business meetings. It also conducted 36 field visits in the three Russian cities.
The visit of the Moroccan delegation was also marked by the holding of high-level meeting with the Federal Government of Russia, Chambers of commerce and associations of importers.
