34,000 Moroccans Study in French Universities

Rabat - 34,000 Moroccans students are enrolled in French universities.

During a meeting with Minister of higher education Lahcen Daoudi, French politician and president of the culture commission in the French senate, Catherine Morin-Desailly, has expressed her country's willingness to increase bilateral cooperation with Morocco.

The member of the French Senate said on Monday in Rabat that France is "very attentive" with regards to hosting Moroccan students in its universities, pointing out that their number currently stands at 34,000.

She added that Morocco and France share the concern of the "just training" for their youth in favor for their development and success.

Lahcen Daoudi said that "French universities should go to emerging and low-cost markets, especially in industrialized countries, to promote and enhance research."

A French Senate delegation is currently visiting Morocco from 19 to 25 April. They are expected to meet several government officials.
