Moroccan Pilot Yassine Bahti Died In Yemen

Rabat – Moroccan pilot whose F-16 warplane crashed in northern Yemen is reportedly dead, according to a press communiqué released today by the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).

After a special Moroccan commando and a squadron of radar-equipped F-16 warplanes have been reportedly deployed to Yemen to help with the search for, Yassine Bahti, the missing pilot, the FAR announced that they found the corps of pilot whose warplane F-16 crashed on Sunday.

The King of Morocco, Mohammed VI who is the Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), ordered the dispatch of an aircraft to carry out his repatriation, after confirmation of identity by a team of geneticists.

Many Moroccan citizens have expressed their sincere empathy toward the family of the pilot, and are praising him for being a “hero” and “the pride” of the nation.

The Iran-backed Houthi group had claimed responsibility for the “downing” of the Moroccan F-16 warplane on Sunday in the Saada region in the north of Yemen.
