Rabat - Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the highest-paid footballer in the world by US Forbes Magazine with total earnings of 79.6 million dollars.
The Real Madrid star has also been ranked the third highest-paid athlete in the world, beating Barcelona rival Leo Messi, who came 4th with $73.8 million dollars.
Floyed Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have been named the world's top two highest paid athletes in Forbes' annual rich list.
The boxers earned a combined $460 million in the past 12 months, mostly from their Las Vegas 'fight of the century' at the MGM Arena back in May.
Mayweather's $ 300 million earnings put him atop Forbes annual list of the world's highest-paid athletes for the second year in a row.
