Moroccan professional surfer Ramzi Boukhiam expressed his happiness that Morocco will host the Quicksilver Pro event which brings together the professional surfers from all around the world.
"I am extremely happy to finally have a QS event in my home country," he said. "I sincerely hope a lot of locals will be able to compete against some of the region and world's top surfers. "There's a strong contingent here but unfortunately most don't have the resources to compete internationally. The Moroccan coastline has really good surf and I'm sure this event will be a great success.
