Rabat - The World Bank (WB) approved, on Thursday, two loans and a grant totalling 251.95 million dollars to support Morocco’s national health strategy and to promote clean energy and energy efficiency.
The first 100 million dollar loan aims specifically to strengthen primary healthcare in rural areas, while the second loan, worth 148.95 million dollars aims at supporting the clean energy and energy efficiency project.
The remaining million dollar grant will be allocated to a partnership to prepare for carbon markets.
The agreements were signed by the Minister of Economy and Finance Mohammed Boussaid, Senior Country Officer at the World Bank Michael Hamaide and the Director General of the national electricity and drinking water Utility (ONEE), Ali Fassi Fihri.
