Rabat- Al Akhawayn University of Ifrane was ranked first amongst Moroccan universities and third in North Africa in this year’s QS Ranking for best Arab institutions.

The QS Rankings, annual reports published by the London based-company Quacquarelli Symonds, has released the World University Rankings as well as the regional rankings, including the second edition of the Arab University Ranking.

This ranking, which has gathered around 2500 employers and 3700 academics, takes a number of factors into account. These include the level of the institution’s faculty, the number of PhD holders within the faculty core, the number of publications completed by faculty members and the number of citations per article, the proportion of international faculty members and students, and the university’s influence and online presence.

Approximately 260 institutions from 15 Arab countries were evaluated, a hundred of which made it to the final ranking, setting Al Akhawayn University graduates up for more prestigious positions in the workforce at home and abroad.
